DMCA
If you believe a file on MyDown infringes a copyright you own or represent, send a notice that includes:
- Your name and a way to reach you.
- The copyrighted work you claim is affected.
- The MyDown download address, and the material at that address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, an agent, or the law.
- A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorized to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
You can also use the Report button on the download page and choose Copyright. That report is shown to the account that published the file. The publisher can retire the public link. The stored file is not deleted by that action, and the old address then says the file was removed.
Counter notice
If your link was retired because of a copyright report and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter notice with your name, the address that was retired, a statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in your location. The site operator may restore a public link after reviewing it.
